What is rav shimon baadani?

Rav Shimon Baadani is a prominent Sephardic rabbi and posek. He was born in Jerusalem in 1929 and is the son of Rabbi Yitzchak Baadani, who was the chief rabbi of Jerusalem's Bukharan Jewish community. Rav Baadani studied at the Porat Yosef Yeshiva and received his ordination from Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Nissim. He is considered one of the leading authorities on halacha (Jewish law) and is a member of the Moetzet Chachmei HaTorah, the Council of Torah Sages of the Shas Party. Rav Baadani has also held several high-ranking positions in the Israeli rabbinate, including serving as a judge in the Sephardi rabbinical court and as a member of the Chief Rabbinate Council. He is highly respected in the Sephardic Jewish community and beyond for his Torah scholarship and guidance.
